• Rock Point Bird Banding Station

RockPoint Bird Banding Station (RPBBS) is located in Rock Point Provincial Park, Ontario (Canada). This station and the banding station at Ruthven comprise the Haldimand Bird Observatory, which is a full member of the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network (CMMN). This network comprises about 27 observatories with some observatories having more than one station.

RPBBS has a primary mandate to observe and band birds which migrate through their area. This data goes to the Canadian Wildlife Service and Bird Studies Canada. In addition they educate the public about migratory birds through talks and demonstrations. Their scientific work takes place when requested. Bander in charge: James (Jim) Smith.

• Mr. Manuel Grosselet (México), Mr. Chris and Mrs. Denise Lamsdell (United Kingdom), and Mr. Diego Pineda (Cojedes) have donated banding equipment.

• Mr. Alberto Porta, Mrs. Maritza Vargas, from San Diego (Carabobo state), Mr. Dorgelis Alcocer, from Caracas (Distrito Capital), and Fundación Científica Los Roques, for their unconditional support in field projects.
